Shoe Heaven

Sorry it took me so long to update your guys on my trip... the heat in Vancouver is insufferable... i can't stand it anymore... i am boiling to death.

Anyways here is the second part of my trip... i went shoe shopping at Holt Renfrew which for those of u outside of Canada, its supposed to be the nicest department store... kind of like Barney's.

U will not believe what I found... Stella McCartney mesh sandals in nude from the spring 09 collection at 50% off. I could not believe that I was lucky to find those shoes on the sale rack. Yes they are half a size too big but whatever most of my shoes are since I have really tiny feet... anyways I was also contemplating these Stella's from the resort collection but thought that the mesh will go with a lot more outfits... i was in heaven afterwards.

Here is me with my purchase and my graduating friends... hihi

Also this is what I wore that day...

Cardigan: UO, Dress: Zara, Tights: H&M, Shoes: gap, Belt: Zara, Bag: Zara, Sunglasses: the honey room.

The rest of the trip was spent at Niagara Falls where my outfits are way too plain to show on this blog. Expect normal outfits posts starting next week.

Kensignton Market

Ok so as promised here are the details of my trip.
The first day when we arrived, it was pouring rain so we just went to Eaton Centre which is just like any other crappy mall in Canada. Nothing new there or exciting.

The second day the weather was better so we went for lunch on Queen Street and then made our way to Kensignton Market through Chinatown. Here is what I wore: my bf liked the background for my outfit. My outfits are a bit casual when i travel because i like to be comfy when i spend the whole day out in the same clothes. I only wore heels at dinner.

Wore: Miss Me top, Tracy Feith Jacket, AE Jeans, Gap sandals, Zara bag, the honey room sunglasses ( thx nookie... love them).

Anyways...Kensignton Market is basically an area full of vintage stores in old Victorian houses. It was the best vintage shopping I have seen.

I bought a white crinoline and a black sequined tube top.... I think they might be my b-day outfit in September... i usually like to go for princess over the top glitz on my b-days.

I also got this retro luggage that I carried all the way from Kensington to Queen's Park and back to our hotel. Vintage luggage's are so heavy even when empty.

The second part of my trip I will post later this week... more sightseeing basically and a bit more shopping obviously.

P.S. I just had to share with u this pic...

A Kettle of Fish

Today my Bf and I, George, celebrated our 4 year anniversary. We went to a local seafood restaurant called A Kettle of Fish.
This is what I wore... I was planning on a different outfit but another pair of shoes killed me on Friday so I could not wear the planned outfit because my feet hadn't recuperated. So therefore I had to resort to wearing my most comfy heels and the Narcissist dress which is a bit on the classic and boring side if u ask me. Narcissist is a local Canadian label that is kind of popular here but their clothes tend to be on the matronly side... I bough this dress to satisfy a friend who worked for them... only wore it one other time in my life for a formal presentation. I figure I will get a lot of use out of it once I start working.

( Zara bag, Federicca Balducci shoes, Tracy Feith for Target Jacket, Narcissist Dress)

Anyways the food at the restaurant was amazing. I had the Calamari salad as appetizer and the scallops and green lentil curry for main. My bf had the blue crab fritters and obviously a steak. Unfortunately, I couldn't take pics because it was a very intimate setting as you can see from the above pics. So I leave you now with some other dishes I found online from their restaurant so you get a sense of the amazing food served here. For those of you who live in Vancouver, I strongly recommend you dine here... for those that will ever find themselves in Van City, a trip to this restaurant is a must. Oh i should warn u though that the majority of the patrons tend to be on the older side( 50 +) which makes it kind of awkward. That's the only downside to this restaurant... If u can get over it than you should enjoy the evening very well.

P.S. My 4 year anniversary gift... a Tiffany dog charm for my charm bracelet to symbolize Maxi's arrival in our lives... we got him in January.

Channelling Ms. Carrie

Tracy Feith For Target Jacket, H&M skirt, Federica Balducci shoes, vintage bag, shirt and belt

Wore this last week to a dinner party.... I thought the outfit was similar to something Ms. Carrie Bradshaw would have worn during the earlier SATC seasons when she wore the vintage full skirts and the envelope clutches... remember those outfits? maybe it's just in my mind.

I also wore this lion pendant gold necklace that used to belong to my mom. I stole it from her a couple of years ago and I'm not letting go of it.Its one of my most treasured jewelery possessions. Its so small but everybody notices it one way or another and I always get asked if I'm a Leo. I'm actually a Virgo and my mom is a Taurus. I think she just bought it cause she really liked the design of it. It really is a wonderful piece in an understated sort of way.

Gold Dash

Maxi insisted on sitting beside me. I can't believe we actually got a picture of him looking straight into the camera. Usually he is all over the place when u want to shoot him.

(Wearing vintage sequined cape, old navy tank underneath, American eagle Boyfriend jeans, Nina shoes, bangles from Little India and from Iran)

Have to dash. We're celebrating Canada's 142 b-day today! God... she is so young in comparison to other nations!
Enjoy my blingy outfit. I love gold. I could live in gold all day!

Happy B-day Canada!!!!!!!!!
