Red and Brown

Wearing: Jean Paul Gaultier for Target leather jacket, Zara dress, Hue tights, H&M shoes, Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses, Dulapul Bunicii headband

One of my favorite pieces to wear this spring is the new Jean Paul Gaultier leather jacket. Love all the top stitching details on the elbow sleeves. Reminds me of his trademark bustiers! Expect to see this jacket a lot more! I have also realized that the majority of my tights are from Hue. I must say they have the best quality ever in comparison to their price. Truly opaque with high denier count!

In the mood for sushi

One of my best friends, Joelle has come back from London for a short visit. We were all in the mood for sushi so we went to Aki. Apparently sushi is really bad in London. Actually, I think probably in most of Europe. I haven't heard one European say they have had good sushi back home.

I wore on our lunch date: Anna Sui for Target dress with belt, Jimmy Choo for H&M faux-fur vest,Hue tights, Payless boots, Zara bag.

My friend Jess who is one of Faboulista's biggest fans. She wore: 3:1 Phillip Lim dress and Aldo bag.

Minnie Lost in the Woods

Wearing: BB Dakota Coat,Payless boots, Hue tights, Minnie Mouse headband from Disneyland.

Minnie is a nickname I'm constantly given by people due to the fact that I'm small and also because my real name closely resembles Minnie's name. So it's no wonder that I feel Minnie Mouse is a very special character.

Metallic Leggings

A wonderful editorial shot by Mert Alas & Marcus Pigott for W Magazine in 2004. I love how even 6 years later, this editorial is still so current and fresh. I definitely need to add metallic leggings to my shopping list.

I know I have been MIA this week. I apologize for that. It's that time of the year again where I am job searching. It also doesn't help that final exams start next week. Anyways, hope this year it will all work out!

Vintage weekend

Wore: vintage dress, Balenciaga Fall 09 pumps, Forever 21 coat, Honey Room Sunglasses, Aldo belt

It seems like this past weekend I wore only vintage. Maybe because I so wish I could have attended the Bucharest V for Vintage event so I just pretened that I was there through my vintage outfits.

Golden Gypsy

Wearing: vintage sequined bolero, skirt and camisole,no brand shoes, bangles from Little India

I love Gypsies.I'm probably one of the only Romanians who can say that. Although there is a lot of controversy regarding them I just adore their traditional culture. My mother always teases me that maybe I was swapped by mistake as a gypsy baby in the hospital because it seems I relate to their culture way too much. Anyways, this is my take on the gypsy costume.

Revelations

Last night I had a revelation. I finally realized that I don't need Electrik Avenue. And when i woke up and saw Nookie's comment telling me that it's confusing switching between the two I realized that my revelation is right. As I previously said I needed Electrik as a work of reference with my best outfits. My perfectionist part of me was maybe ashamed of my beginning outfit posts where the photo quality was not that great and the outfits were on the boring side.I think for about half a year I was contemplating starting a new blog but the idea seemed irrational. Finally I just decided to put it into action against all common sense.Never though about what's gonna happen to my followers , how will i juggle two blogs and so forth. Throughout Easter weekend I was revisiting some of my favorite style bloggers and starting looking back till their early posts. And I finally realized that not even the best style bloggers like Alix and Jane, did not have it right from the beginning. And that's when I realized that the purpose of a style blog is to observe the style evolution one goes through as time passes by. We are all young girls and it is normal not to have a definite style yet. That's what the blogs are about, searching for it through experimentation. And so it hit me that I should be proud of my earlier posts as they show my style evolution and how I slowly started to take more risks with my clothes.
Therefore, Elecktrick will be no more. Instead I will make some changes to Faboulista to make it more pleasing for moi.

So here it is the new outfit that was on Electrick.
