A Magical Halloween!

 (all images via Google images)

I have a feeling...that tonight's gonna be a good night! Halloween is probably one of my favorite celebrations. The dark magical spirit that envelops  the city this time of year is mesmerizing.
Granville Street on Halloween night is the best place to be! The street shuts down with storms of people hitting the entertainment district in the wildest costumes one can find!

My ensemble of magical freaks should fit right in! If you haven't guessed by now what this year's theme will be, well you have no excuse after this post!
But still can you guess which character I will personally be?

Faboulista getting married

Dress: Vintage
Headband: Alice&Sara

Yes, the title is no joke. There will be a Faboulista wedding in the summer of 2012 in my hometown, Bucharest.

To commemorate this announcement I did a little pre-wedding shoot for you guys after I found this gaudy, fairy-tale like princess wedding dress!

In the meantime if you are from there and want to help me I am open to suggestions as to locations, dresses, makeup/hair stylists, photographers and so on. I would be extremely grateful for any help I can receive!

My Fall Shopping List

I have this shopping list since August but I never got the chance to actually post it. As you can see by now some things have already been purchased while others still await.

1. Black motorcycle jacket : I have my Jean Paul Gaultier in brown and red but it's so hard to match sometimes that I really need a black one as well.

2. Lots of cozy sweaters: I already went crazy and purchased so many and I have a feeling I probably won't be able to stop myself to buy more once winter rolls around.

3.Wool cape: not the lady dutch I have previously shown you but a beautiful and comfy hybrid of coat/cape was given to me by George as a gift.

4.Leather dress: Ever since I saw Jen from Her Waise Choice wearing hers I knew I wanted to be a bad ass in one too.

5.Black Skinny Jeans: a sleeker alternative than the faded distressed ones I currently wear.

6.Trench coat: This has already passed its utility for this season as it is too cold for trench coats. I was not able to score one prior to September which is really when I was in dire need of one. This will probably me on my spring shopping list as well.

7.Fair Isle dress: saw it first in Vogue and I knew I had to get one.

8.Leopard print booties and possibly a dress: animal print is something that I never tire off. A complete classic that can look totally tacky worn the wrong way.

9. Riding/Motorcycle flat boots: I really preferred the riding style but settled for motorcycle when I found these super comfy ones in a distressed taupish brown.

10. Shearling Combat Booties: Oh yeah the it shoe of the season. Not the Burbery ones though just cause I have always refused to pay money for it things. Unfortunately they loose their charm after a couple of seasons.

Romanian Talents

So I just want to dedicate this post to a couple of NEW fellow Romanian fashion bloggers who have a huge influence over my style. I think they deserve a lot more attention and as you already know I am a huge promoter of talents coming from my home country.

Inspiring outfits topped by the highest of heels!

Two best friends who share along with their outfits, great recipes, perfect DIY's and the most amazing photography I have ever seen!

A lover of colour and romantic dressing!

Punchy colours and prints worn with a fun attitude!

Corina Vladescu tan draped dress

Belt: Vintage
Shoes: Stella McCartney
Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
Bag: Zara

Love this Corina Vladescu dress. I ordered this in my first batch  of dresses from Corina last year for Christmas. This is probably my second favorite piece after the Roisin dress. I really should do an outfit post with that one although I can't actually wear it out in public just yet. But who knows... a little sweet girl was just born and a baptism is sure on its way in a couple of months so that might just call for an early occasion.

P.S. This is the last time this year I get to wear my beloved Stella's. As the weather is getting chilly and the rainy season has fully started I had to pack them away for next summer!

Getting Ready For Fall with Joe Fresh

I have officially began adding to my fall wardrobe about 3 weeks ago. This weekend I decided to add a few more items by checking the new Joe Fresh line. I always go nuts when I shop their stuff. Here are just some of the things I bought. I'm extremely excited to wear them. I find them perfect for the cold fall days that are about to come!  and talk about the faux-fur coat( yes faux-fur because I would not be caught dead in real fur). That one will be perfect when winter rolls around. And who knows maybe this year we will be lucky to get a bit of snow!

I have more purchases to show you but that will have to wait for another post!!

Thanksgiving!

all images via my dinner table

To all my Canadian readers, Happy Thanksgiving!
This year especially I have many things to be thankful for. Sometimes we forget how lucky we are. It's times like this that remind us!

I'm thankful for
....having a wonderful family.
....having a loving boyfriend.
....having wonderful friends who support me.
....having all these people in my life who love me as I am.
