Blush Overload

 Dress:H&M
Blazer:H&M
Faux-Fur vest: Jimmy Choo x H&M
Tights: H&M
Bag: Vintage
Shoes: Kate Preston
Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

Oh yes I've piled on the blush for this very black outfit. By mistake of course!!!
This is very different from what I usually wear in terms of colour choices. I think I wear an all black outfit just about two or three times a year.
I felt very witchy though this weekend!

A Snowy Winter!

Woke up Saturday morning to the most wonderful snow I have seen in years! Lucky me I was at my parents house and our whole backyard was covered with a white fluffy blanket of snow. I really wanted to take some photos with the snowy background so I dashed for whatever I could find around my parents house. Lucky me I had brought my Anthropology dress  a couple of weeks ago due to wanting to make more space in my own closets for the winter seasonal stuff. I accessorized it with a couple of things that I found in my old closets and here is the result.

Dress: Anthropology
Crinoline: Vintage
Fur Coat: Vintage
Tights: American Apparel
Shoes: Aldo
Gloves: Aldo
 Hat: Le Chateau
Bag: London Fog

As to my red hair... let me assure it is not red! Before leaving for Halifax I put red henna in my hair to give my mousy brown locks a bit of a reddish sheen. The results though are nowhere near as bright as these pictures show. My hair is just a chestnut brown at this moment. In playing with the contrasting effects , the redder turned brighter than it actually is. Nonetheless I am rather pleased with how my hair looks and I am currently thinking of actually getting it professionally coloured to match the pictures. Due to my skin tone, red hair has never really been a possibility that has crossed my mind. These pictures seem to show otherwise!

P.S. Expect a lot of  snowy backgrounds in my future posts as it has been announced that this is the coldest winter Vancouver has ever seen!

Golden Sunday Mornings!

Blazer: Victoria Secret
Faux-leather leggings: Aldo
Tank: H&M
Scarf: H&M
Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell's Litas

Oh yes I wore this on Sunday morning to go get crepes! What can I say, I was starved for gold!
Did I get lots of stares? YES I did!
DID I care?
Hell NO!!!!
I love it when people look at me because what I wear is not what you would expect! The only looks I never appreciate are inappropriate perverted ones!

Guess who's back with a brand new track

 Blazer: H&M
Skirt:H&M
Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell's Lita
Tight: H&M
Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
Brooches: Vintage and Alice&Sara
Camisole: Libertine
Belt: vintage

I'm back after a hell of a week. I was supposed to come back Sunday night but unfortunately our flight was canceled for two days. The conference was a full-on party fest! It was amazing meeting other students from across all of North America.

As to my outfits during the conference, Well I have none.
First of all, I did not have my photographer with me or his camera. I find that nobody can capture me as well as he does. He knows my best angles, he knows what I want and to train someone new is such a hassle.
Second, my outfits were not too spectacular. During the day I wore business attire while at night I kept the styling of my dresses extremely simple.
I mean ... a business conference is not really the place to put on a fashion show.

Dreaming of soft springs!

Frida Gustavsson by Andreas Sjodin for Vogue Nippon June 2010

Yes, I'm already dreaming of next season and Christmas has not even passed. What can I say....I am slowly getting tired of fall/winter.

Even though this beautiful editorial is from last season, I personally want to try a softer palette for this upcoming spring.

BTW I'm coming back tonight so tomorrow evening expect a new outfit post!

My dinner table

We all have some kind of weird obsessive behaviour. I have plenty. One of them is taking photos of almost anything I eat. I have a huge folder of pictures from my dinner table. Here are some of them:

1. Chicken Fajita

2.   Spring Rolls and Salad Rolls

3. Vietnamese Pho Soup

 4.  Three Cheese Tortellini in tomato sauce

5.Korean sushi

Aztec Dreams

My NOT -so-little necklace.
A statement piece that is very different from the so called statement necklace of the season.
I'm so tired of those!

All I see is leopard

I already have a shorter leopard coat but I couldn't pass on another one at a very good price.
I wear leopard with the same enthusiasm since I was 18.
One of the most classical prints one can have in their wardrobe.
Timeless chic!

The Litas

My Litas have arrived!!!!!!!
Well that was a while ago actually!
To all the Lita haters, all I have to say is that these shoes are as fierce as they are comfy. I already wore them twice and I have outfits to show you next week because this week I am away. As you are reading this I am boarding a plane for Halifax to compete at Dalhousie University in a business ethics competition.
But no worries, I have a week planned full of posts!
Wish me luck!
