Faboulista gets waise: Behind The Scenes

This is the first time that I've shot with two photographers so I thought it would be interesting to show you some of the behind the scenes from the shoot. Having both photographers there has helped in documenting the shoot. Each one was able to capture the others' hard  work. We only shot for about an hour, maybe even less which was perfect because right as we ended, the rain started to pour!

Faboulista gets waise!

As I already mentioned, on Saturday I had the pleasure of meeting with Jen from Her Waise Choice. This was my first blogger meet up in Vancouver. I cant believe I waited thing long to set up one! We met at Olympic Village which turned out to be a great location for photos despite the bad lighting and then we headed to Guu Garden for an amazing dinner!

It was so funny because Jen and I dressed polar opposites for the meeting. We also posed the opposite almost all the time. While one was looking up the other was looking down and vice versa but never on the same page. Still between the 600 photos that our photographers took, we found some that we both liked. If you check her blog you can see we used almost the same pictures. Haha you know what they say Great minds think alike!

We have already planned our next meet up and the theme but it's a surprise so stay tuned!

I'm wearing: Anna Sui for Target silk dress, H&M blazer and tights, Payless shoes, vintage clutch, vintage and Alice&Sara brooches

Jen is wearing: Twelve by Twelve jacket, Wilfred skirt, Marc Jacobs sandals, vintage earrings

Mexican Treasures

Top: Mexican Artisan
Shorts: Bedo
Boots: Payless
Bag: Mexican Artisan
Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
A quick outfit post before I go to sleep. Just wanted to show 2 other things I bought in Mexico from the artisans in San Jose. One was the white top with the crochet details and the other is the little bag with the carvings.

On another note,I'm very excited for Saturday because I'm having my first blogger meet up in Vancouver with Jen from Her Waise Choice. We're planning on taking some photos together at Olympic Village and then we're gonna head for dinner at Guu! I can't wait!

P.S. Check out the lovely feature on me on Fashezine. Ioana is such a dear friend and I was honoured to be the first one interviewed for her new category.
Not to mention her extremely talented bf drew me! It's the first time somebody has drawn me other than myself! I will treasure this illustration forever!

The Samurai that walked the city streets

 Top: Target
Belt: Vintage
Pants: H&M
Scarf: No label
Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
Shoes: Dries Van Noten
Bag: Loeffler Randall for Target

I call this my samurai hair cause it kinda resembles a samurai hairstyle! My bf doesn't like it for exactly that reason!
Due to reading too much Shogun lately which is by far one of the best books I have read, I have become a bit Japan obsessed. I have only read the first 100 pages and I'm already hooked. I basically can not wait to get home from school, finish my dinner and enter the fascinating world of Japan in the 1600's. It's extremely funny because my mom is reading the same book at the same time as me. Our favorite thing to do on the weekend is to compare our thoughts on Shogun!

Bye Bye Cabo

If you are tired of all my Cabo pics stop worrying! I'm done after this post.
I will miss sipping a pina colada by the pool and a mojito for lunch...
I will miss making sand castles and the waves that crashed them down...
I will miss walking through San Jose and buying beautiful clothes from the local artisans...
I will miss...
But with all that said and posted I am now ready to embrace fall! Except I still haven't completed my fall shopping although I can finally say that I started. I'm thinking of maybe showing all of you what I have bought in a video haul. That's if I work up the courage to actually do it!

Hawaiian Prints

 Sarong: Market in Hawaii
Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
Flower Clip: Dior

What?
I'm wearing a Hawaiian print in Mexico? Yes that's correct! I bought it on my last trip to Hawaii and I was looking for another place to wear it!

I'm high on cough syrup at this moment. Since I'm down with a cold I have been gulping cough syrup like crazy. Unlike the last time when I drank cough syrup to calm my nerves ( Nookie remembers our conversation), this time I'm not abusing this substance!
