A Snowy Winter!

Woke up Saturday morning to the most wonderful snow I have seen in years! Lucky me I was at my parents house and our whole backyard was covered with a white fluffy blanket of snow. I really wanted to take some photos with the snowy background so I dashed for whatever I could find around my parents house. Lucky me I had brought my Anthropology dress  a couple of weeks ago due to wanting to make more space in my own closets for the winter seasonal stuff. I accessorized it with a couple of things that I found in my old closets and here is the result.

Dress: Anthropology
Crinoline: Vintage
Fur Coat: Vintage
Tights: American Apparel
Shoes: Aldo
Gloves: Aldo
 Hat: Le Chateau
Bag: London Fog

As to my red hair... let me assure it is not red! Before leaving for Halifax I put red henna in my hair to give my mousy brown locks a bit of a reddish sheen. The results though are nowhere near as bright as these pictures show. My hair is just a chestnut brown at this moment. In playing with the contrasting effects , the redder turned brighter than it actually is. Nonetheless I am rather pleased with how my hair looks and I am currently thinking of actually getting it professionally coloured to match the pictures. Due to my skin tone, red hair has never really been a possibility that has crossed my mind. These pictures seem to show otherwise!

P.S. Expect a lot of  snowy backgrounds in my future posts as it has been announced that this is the coldest winter Vancouver has ever seen!

Gorgeous pictures! Love the oh-so-snowy background!

The outfit is awe-inspiring: beginning with the dress and ending with all the precious details (gloves, hat, tights). I'm also a fan of the the reddish tone in your hair!

It started snowing in Romania, too. Not in Bucharest, though. Can't wait to take pics like these ;)).

I check your blog every day, but I don't usually comment. I had to comment on this look because it is beautiful! The contrast of the blue flower against the bright lipstick is to die for. Absolutely amazing photo shoot!

Absolut superbe pozele. Ce ciudat e sa vad zapada, aici au fost temperaturi de 20 de grade pana acum cateva zile. anyway, the outfit you've chosen it's like part of the fairytale set. Love the electric blue head accessory and the fur coat.

I’m blown away by these pictures. You look dashing! I also can’t believe you’re actually wearing those sandals in the snow, you’re my hero. You look stunning with that shade of red in your hair, you should definitely get it done like in the pictures, maybe even brighter. You should also wear red lipstick more often: you look killer with it. I’m crazy about the electric blue mini hat in your hair – it goes perfectly with the awesomeness that is that dress! Miss you! Kisses:):)

I'm inlove with this outfit of yours! You just rock in the snow with the sandals ;)
Is funny because they say the same in Sweden about the weather, that it will the coldest we've ever seen in 1000 years :O

I think your hair looks great in auburn, and I just love the contrast between the red lips and blue hat.

My point of view, you look stunning, lovely pics, and great idea to take it in the snow.
