Packing is such a hassle

I'm getting so excited for my trip to Romania. I'm super scared though of the sub zero degrees weather I will have to face. I know people think that because I live in Canada I should be used to harsh winters but PEOPLE I live in Vancouver!!!!!! We have a maritime climate. Mild winters with lots of rain. This winter was especially warm. The weather here is almost like spring. So yeah I am freaked out about the freezing temperature of Bucharest. I haven't been there in the winter for 11 years so I kinda forgot about their terrible winters. Packing for this trip has been such a hassle. I don't own too many cold weather items. I went Friday and i bought lots of under layering pieces like leggings and long sleeve tops to wear under my dresses and skirt to keep me warm. I have some cozy sweaters as well so I hope that it will be enough. I also ordered a tan colour turban from eBay to keep my head warm. I hope it arrives by Friday. Anyways I really hope that I wont be stuck inside the house the whole time I'm there because I just can't face the damn weather. That would be such a waste of my trip.

These pics were taken right before I left for my weekend trip. I was in a really good mood so I kept dancing and swishing around in my layered dress which made the ruffles show really well in the photos.



I'm back from Seattle and I must say this trip was very successful in terms of scoring treasures. I was able to score Balenciaga shoes from the Fall 09 collection at 60% off at Barney's. They are a navy suede blue pump close to the middle version in the picture. I loved this collection. The heel on these shoes is genius.And they are so comfortable I am amazed. I will have to show you in the next post how amazing these shoes are... cause they really are!

Off to California

My darlings, this is my goodbye post for about a week... I will be right back before Christmas... I'm going with my family and George, my BF to Disneyland and LA... I'm definitely hoping to come back with my suitcase filled with treasures... on the 20th you will definitely see me at the Anaheim Target checking out the Rodarte collection. I'm also hoping to score some great deals in shoes at Neiman's Last Call and Saks off 5th nearby. I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much cause whenever i do i always leave disappointed. But that's not alwsy the case. When I was in Toronto I was counting on the Holts there to have a better shoe selection and lucky me , i was able to leave with the amazing Stella mesh sandal at 50% off. I hope I will be at least as lucky as that this time.

Sorry for being MIA for the last week. I was a bit sick and on top I had huge amounts of homework which are only becoming bigger as the semester is soon coming to an end.

I'm wearing my handmade epaulets purchased this summer from Alice in Vintageland. I love them to death. I definitely need to wear them more often.

Over-the Knee Boots

Since August I have been looking for a pair of over the knee boots. Most stores did not have them yet or if they did, they did not have my size or were way over my budget. Two weeks ago I finally found my match at Aldo. Totally inexpensive and totally awesome. I love them. All i can think about is how to wear them all the time. Definitely my favorite purchase so far this season.
