Vintage Romanian peasant top

Wearing:vintage Romanian peasant top, H&M skirt, Aldo sandals, hat from Victoria

This is one of my favorite outfits probably cause I'm wearing two pieces that I love very much. First the skirt is probably one of my favorites.I consider it a very lucky skirt. The first time I wore it was a very special day that I will always remember.
The peasant top is one of my finds from Romania that I bought in February if you remember. I mentioned it here but I never showed it to you. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the National Peasant Museum had a great selection of vintage peasant blouses much more intricate in embroidery that the modern ones. The new ones can't even compare to the amount of details the old ones have. You can tell the women in those days had a lot of times on their hands since they would put so much effort into the beading of these wonderful items. This piece really is a museum piece in itself. I will have to tell you that I felt very bad wearing it because every time I took a step, beads kept falling off so I think this piece is more of a collector's piece rather than a wearable item. I actually don't mind this because I do have the tendency to buy things for collecting purposes. Maybe one day I will show you my collection closet. Those are things that I normally don't wear but I just enjoy looking at.

On another note, I love Fashezine's new website. A cleaner look with a much easier navigation. I must tell you that she is making me rethink my layout. Although I refuse to switch from blogger, I will see what I can do to make it more pleasant for you. Check it out cause she is having a wonderful giveaway!

I love, love, love this outfit! The peasant top is esquisite, to bad the beads are falling off - it's really special and deserves to be worn over and over again. I also love different pieces in my wardrobe because I wore them when something wonderful happened.:) Kisses

I love how you mix prints without it looking gaudy or tacky! I really love peasant tops!

To respond to your comment:
I actually tried that dress on! And it ran SMALL. Especially in the sleeves and it was a very tight fit. Go for the 8. I almost got it except it's so similar to my AA double U-neck dress that it wasn't really worth it to me.

Oh, and it's a little short and tight around the hips area too. (which is normal for a body con dress). It seemed to stay in place pretty well, though.
